At-Home Worship Liturgy
Greeting from Pastor Nick live at 9:30:
With the words of this Psalm, God calls you to worship him.
Psalm 145:1-2, 8-9 (NIV)
I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever.
Every day I will praise you
and extol your name for ever and ever.
The LORD is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and rich in love.
The LORD is good to all;
he has compassion on all he has made.
Pray this prayer:
Father in heaven,
our hearts desire the warmth of your love,
and our minds are searching for the light of your Word.
Increase our longing for Christ, our Savior,
and give us the strength to grow in love,
so that when he arrives
he may find us rejoicing in his presence
and welcoming the light of his truth.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Praise God with the words of this Advent song:
Pray this prayer of confession:
God of love,
all year long we've tried to be strong,
yet you arrived in weakness.
All season long we've been excited about Christmas presents,
but you alone give us what lasts forever.
Through the work of this Lord Jesus,
who comes among us full of grace and truth,
forgive us, heal us, correct us.
May we be transformed by your love.
God gives you hope with these words:
John 3:16 (NIV)
For God so loved the world
that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him
shall not perish but have eternal life.
Give thanks to God with this song, and then listen as God teaches you from Matthew 25:31-46:
